she Did Wrong

With my hands on His head
And my heart full of dread
My mind is like lead
My soul may be dead

I did wrong
When I was alone for too long
My sorrow is like a song
And my heart a gong

Laid on the floor
I await the door
Feeling cold in my core
Knowing that i will be sore

I have my reasons
Changing like the seasons
Explaining my treasons

Look deep in my mind
There You will find
Thoughts most unkind
To the bitter hind

I know that You will be fair
Because You care
My thoughts i may get to share
From beneath Your chair

i hope i'm not left alone
With thoughts that drone
As i suppress a groan
Yearning for You to come home

I hurry to heed
His every decree
The addiction, I must feed

Few people see that I hold the power
Each and every hour
All they see is me squirm and cower
As He stands like a tower

They think me weak
Some call me a freak
Because I can be so meek
As I get the hit I seek
Or the truth that I speak

The key is love
That settles within like a dove
Feelings that fit like a glove
As He stands above

Alone, she sits
Numbly flicking from screen to screen
Hoping for a notification
Longing for the notification
That ends the silence

Just a few words
Is all it takes
To end the aimless wandering
And steady her emotions
For just a little while

Clinging to hope that's dwindling
She yearns for the words
That set her heart on fire

You came back
Only to go again
I try to hide the pain
By standing in the rain
Because I know there's nothing to gain

Facing my birthday alone
I'll allow my thoughts to roam
To the flowers in the loam
''Tis happy thoughts that I loan
As my heart issues a groan

My mind counts the days down
Until those wheels touch the ground
My mouth makes no sound
Of the worries abound

I will give You this little gift
To give Your heart a lift
No matter how I have to sift
Until the end of the shift

I know that You can tell
That all hasn't been well
Though I tried the hard sell
As I fought my way through Hell
